From March 21-23, 2025, Fontainebleau will host the first-ever TransFest, a weekend dedicated to trans, non-binary, intersex, and genderqueer climbers. This event is all about climbing, connection, and celebrating identity in a safe and inclusive space.

Where & How? Participants will stay in private dorms at Fontaineblhostel in La-Chapelle-la-Reine, with carpools to climbing areas. The cost for two nights is €62, with sponsorships being explored to help offset expenses. Registration will be available soon via Eventbrite, but you can already reserve a spot by emailing transbleau@gmail.com.

Who’s Behind It?The event is organized by four trans and one cis climber, all connected through Fontainebleau’s climbing scene. Long-time Women’s Bouldering Festival (WBF) organizers Electra, Zof, Tiba, and Alba have teamed up with David to create this much-needed trans-specific event.
